Trader Vic’s Abu Dhabi opened its doors at Beach Rotana in 1994, the first Trader Vic’s in the region as well as one of the earliest fusion restaurants in the UAE. Known for the restaurant’s exotic food and tropical atmosphere, Trader Vic’s Abu Dhabi has become one of the most iconic places in the capital of the UAE.
The Home of the Original Mai Tai
In 1944 a legend was born. The Trader handed a drink to a friend and they exclaimed, “it’s mai tai roa ae!” (Tahitian for “out of this world-the best”) and the first Mai Tai was born.
